![]() ![]() I would imagine Kinoko Nasu (the director/Lead Writer of Type-Moon titles such as Fate Stay night) woke up after the release of Fate Stay night in 2004 and went into Type-Moon office and held a meeting: Sure as hell I would get my answers soon. I knew Fate Stay night originated from a visual novel so I was wondering: "How do you make a Sequel to a Story, to a game with Three completely different set of events and outcomes?" When I searched about it I found out It was a Visual Novel and a direct sequel to Fate Stay Night Visual Novel, and just right there my curiosity piqued. Short versions of Fate Grand Order Memorial movie was dropping then too and those were spectacular as well (watch the full version please It's amazing)Īmidst of all these things and being back to the Gacha hell that is Fate Grand Order I happened to encounter a weird name: Fate Hollow Ataraxia Fate Strange Fake special anime actually dropped around that time and I enjoyed it immensely. It made me fall madly in love with those characters again. I was hooked, to the point that I finally understood why Heaven's Feel is amazing, I finally got that it was never about another romance route and It was more about sibling love. Music is a medium full of emotion and this one changed everything. to the point that I started from third movie to just see the climax of that route again, with nothing in my mind.īut It did change everything! I guess it was when "in early spring" started playing in the beginning of the third movie. So I don't know why I decided to re-watch Heaven's Feel. I didn't read, played or even watched anything from Type-Moon after that. ![]() Weirdly, the first time I watched them (near their release) I liked them, but not as much and it actually burnt my passion for Fate franchise as a whole. So actually, about three months ago, I was lazing around, and it flew my mind that "Yeah better re-watch that Fate/Stay Night Heaven's Feel movies" with that in mind let me tell you my story. I'm not an expert on this genre and in my eyes, Fate Hollow Ataraxia is my first proper visual novel that I finished. I just wanted you to know where I come from regarding this matter. (which I need time to play either of them). They made me buy a lot of titles like Fata Morgana, Higurashi and Steins gate 0 and. without those titles I would not have confidence that I enjoy something like Fate Hollow Ataraxia. they're still all excellent games and actually a really great gateway for people to enter the visual novel sphere.Īnd That's exactly what happened to me. be it incorporation of puzzle elements in the genre or using fourth wall shattering horror elements to elevate your short game and put an spin on usual dating sims. mainly because all of those games kinda drift from pure form of a Visual Novel. I liked all of them, but I still couldn't call myself an expert on this genre or even an appreciator of it. I even played that Doki Doki Literature club game that caught on fire six or five years ago. I played my fair share of Danganronpa titles and Uchikoshi pieces such as 999 and AI Somnium files. She is currently observing the situation with Illya, Miyu, and Kuro, calling Illya, "necessary", Miyu, "accidental", and Kuro, a "miraculous existence." She displays absolutely no interest in the events, and she is rather carefree about her job as a nurse.I won't say I'm an expert on Visual novels. Her role in 'Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA'Ĭaren takes on the role of the school nurse in Illya's school. Instead, she ends up becoming the mediator of the war because of the four day time loop which goes back to the fourth day of the 5th War. In the beginning of Fate/hollow ataraxia, she has been sent to Fuyuki City by the Church to replace Kotomine Kirei, who has died, and report the aftermath of the 5th Holy Grail War. ![]() Left an orphan, she eventually became a priestess in the Church. ![]() As it is, Caren's surname is the maiden name of Kirei's wife. Caren's father is heavily implied to Kotomine the manga based on Unlimited Blade Works mentions that Kotomine has a daughter, though Kotomine comments his daughter has been living with her mother's relatives since his wife died. Her mother was actually Kotomine's Wife, who ended up committing suicide in hopes that Kirei would find compassion within himself again. Her weak mother died soon after giving birth to her, while her father had left her mother before Caren was born. She was seen helping the Burial Agency due to her ability in a short story of the Character Material, although she is not stated to be a member of it - she isn't even an Executor.Ĭaren is a rather mysterious figure and little is known about her past. Caren Ortensia is a member of the Church and works as a priestess. ![]()
